Kids should have the opportunity to be kids even when crises occur in their young lives, but it usually takes the guidance of a caring community to help them restore their persona after life changing events.

The events can vary; it can range from the changing of a school grade to a natural disaster such as Hurricane Katrina, but one place of reassurance for children in the Jackson area is Kids Kollege, located on the campus of Jackson State University.

In existence now for 23 years, Kids Kollege has earned the reputation of an institution of academic and cultural enrichment. It has provided over 30,500 families of pre-school and school-aged children with educational services to better equip them in classrooms across the country.
